I KNOW YOU ARE HERE TO KILL ME

I KNOW YOU ARE HERE TO KILL ME is the title of the project I designed to promote the ‘killing’ of countercultural figures’ images and beliefs, within capatlist industries. The quote comes from Che Guevara, one of the central focuses of this work, moments before he was executed.

There are seven A2 posters that consist of photographs of some of the most influential countercultural figures; Che Guevara, Frida Kahlo, Muhammad Ali, Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Malcolm X, who have all been commercialised in various ways in the name of profit. The accompanying publication shows examples and explains this expoitation.

Each poster features the phrase, ‘I know you are here to kill me’ in the same font (Futura Bold Condensed) as Nike, a company who have previously been responsible for using the images of those who would oppose everything that they stand for, for profit.
