VOR Magazine Issue 1
The Vestibulo - Ocular Reflex (VOR) is the nerve that connects the inner ear and the muscles that move your eyes. This magazine documents the connection between music and visuals.
Issue 1 - The Homage, discusses Hip Hop music’s relationship with gangster/crime films. This first issue, split into three chapters, looks into infamous rap songs that reference classic mafia films like Goodfellas and The Godfather. As well as a chapter discussing some of Hip - Hop’s recognition for real life criminals in their lyrics and how Scarface was dubbed a ‘ghetto classic’ which led it to become the infamous cult classic that it is known as today.
